Synopsis

One day, Velho Chico dreamed that King Dom Sebastião invited him to visit his enchanted kingdom beneath the dunes of Lençóis Island, in Maranhão. Believing it was nothing but a dream, the old man told his companions what he had seen. Furious, the king left him unconscious in the desert for seven days and seven nights under the burning sun, and hid from everyone. Since then, Dom Sebastião roams on full-moon nights in the form of a magical bull. One day, his daughter will come to disenchant him, the island and all its people.
