Nicoly's Gloves

Synopsis

Nicoly is six years old. She carries a roll of tape and gauze in her backpack. Every day, as soon as she arrives at school, she runs to the bathroom, wraps the gauze around her wrists and paints it with coloured markers. That is her trademark: the girl with clenched fists wrapped in colourful gauze. The daughter of world boxing champions Macaris do Livramento and Rosilete dos Santos, Nicoly trains in the afternoons at her parents' gym. During break time, she teaches each new move she has learned to her group of friends, "the fighters of the leopard gloves". They dream of the day they will be able to wear Rosilete's trademark: leopard-print boxing gloves.
